SAFEGUARDING CUSTOMER – CLIENT INFORMATION
In order to better serve your needs now and in the future, you may be asked to provide certain information.  It is understood you may be concerned about what will happen with the information – particularly concerning any personal or financial information.  It is agreed you have a right to know how it will be utilized, (concerning personal or financial information you provide).  Therefore, SPIRIT’s LOVE ~ Natural Healing & Wellness, LLC has adopted this Privacy Policy to govern the use and handling of your personal and financial information.

APPLICABILITY
This Privacy Policy governs use of information you provide.  It does not govern the manner in which information is obtained from any other source, such as:  information obtained from a public record, or from another person, or entity.

TYPES of INFORMATION
Depending upon which services you are utilizing, the types of nonpublic personal information that may be collected include:

  • Information received from you on forms, and in other communications to “SPIRIT’s LOVE ~ Natural Healing & Wellness, LLC”, whether in writing, in person, by telephone, cell phone, website, email, fax, or any other means;
  • Information about anything you may share that may be helpful to the services you choose.

USE of INFORMATION
Information is requested from you for your own legitimate reason for services, and not for the benefit of any other party.  Therefore, information will not be released to nonaffiliated parties except for:  (1) as necessary to provide the product or service you requested; or (2) as permitted by law.  Information, however, may be stored indefinitely – including the period after which any customer – client relationship has ceased.  Such information may be used for any internal purpose, such as quality control efforts, or customer – client analysis.

FORMER CUSTOMERS – CLIENTS
Even if you are no longer a customer – client, our Privacy Policy will continue to apply to you.

CONFIDENTIALITY and SECURITY
The best efforts will be used to ensure that no unauthorized parties have access to any of your information.  Access is restricted to nonpublic personal information about you to those individuals and entities who need to know information to provide products or services to you.  The best efforts also will be used to ensure that your information will be handled responsibly and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and SPIRIT’s LOVE ~ Natural Healing and Wellness, LLC’s values and Code of Professional Ethics, Practice, and Documentation. Your information is currently maintained physically and electronically safeguarded to protect your nonpublic personal information.

PRACTITIONER’s CODE

   (Professional Ethics, Practice, and Documentation)

 Ethics:

  • Share education and qualifications with clients and public
  • Dress in professional business manner
  • No judgment on clients’ religion, belief system, race, class, sex, or sexual orientation as everyone is equal, and we are all “ONE” Global Family
  • Inform clients about limitations of certifications, training, and practice
  • Improve knowledge and competency through continuing education – enhancing practitioner’s skills
  • Communicate clients’ choice for session with informed information, and their voluntary consent (verbal or written)
  • Right to refuse, modify, or terminate session (at any point) regardless of prior consent with client
  • Right to refuse or take precautions in treating clients to protect their mental, physical, emotional, professional boundaries, and to ensure safety of practitioner and client
  • Keep clients informed of procedures and methods used during and after session, of what they might experience, and answer all questions – being respectful of time allowed
  • Maintain confidentiality of clients’ information, unless mandated by law and/or court order, or by clients’ written consent to share
  • Honor and respect clients and their physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, social, and intellectual boundaries – regarding privacy, disclosure, exposure, emotional expression, beliefs, and expectations of professional behavior during session
  • Conduct business, session, and activities with honesty, integrity, dignity, courtesy and tact
  • Refrain from engaging in any interest, activity, or influence that conflicts with practitioner’s obligation to act in the highest and best interest of clients
  • Refuse to accept gifts (over a $50 value) and/or benefits that are intended to influence referrals, activities, sessions, or jeopardize the best interest of clients for personal or professional gain
  • Have pure and clear intentions for offering service and/or sessions for the highest and best healing good of clients, as well as their highest learning potential

 Practice:

  • Act as a beacon within the community, creating harmony and cooperation
  • Perform a written and verbal intake interview with clients to determine whether contradictions exist with technique, session, concepts, and acknowledge limitations
  • Provide services with qualified certifications – performing within the scope of practice
  • Refer clients to other professionals and/or services, if service is beyond scope of practice
  • Practitioner must receive permission from client before session begins (verbal or written)
  • Explain personal wellness plan to clients, or other professionals (as necessary) with clients’ permission
  • Provide services that meet and/or exceed practice of profession
  • Practitioner and client recognize the balance of giving and receiving as an agreed exchange for session and/or services rendered
  • Cancellation of appointment time should be communicated to practitioner as soon as known – to honor and respect practitioner’s time, and time of other clients
  • Goal is to empower, assist, support, and guide clients in their development to heal themselves
  • Be an active role model of healing that embodies and expresses that very essence in everything practitioners do
  • Practice with safe, sanitary, and hygenic standards in the working area and the process
  • Receive written permission from parent or guardian authorizing services for clients under 18 years of age (prior to providing services) with parent or guardian present in the room, unless parent or guardian waives this requirement in writing
  • Refuse sessions and/or services in bars, adult entertainment facilities, or any where practitioner deems inappropriate
  • Refuse engagement in behavior that might be construed as sexually suggestive, or physically engaging in sexual conduct and activities with clients
  • Refrain from using sexually suggestive language and images in advertising
  • Refuse participation of hiring anyone who is using terms, services, or advertising that are not appropriate with professional training
  • The term “advertise” shall include, but is not limited to:  issuance of business cards, cards, labels, stickers, stationery, signs, devices, markings on or in buildings, vehicles, structures, newspapers, magazines, television, Internet, websites or listings in directories under classifications and headings, or commercials – broadcasting by airwave transmissions
  • Do not diagnose, prescribe, or provide services which require a license to practice
  • Practitioner will be in a whole, wellness, balanced state to render clients’ sessions, and never be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, stressed, exhausted, or ill

Documentation:

  • Practitioner and client shall agree upon purpose of session
  • No documentation is required for session of general relaxation given during sports or other similar events, “free or gifted” session, or during public demonstrations in a chair
  • If a written plan is requested, required, or agreed upon – client’s file shall include initial evaluation, client’s general info., name, date of session, medical history, sensitivities, allergies, medical diagnoses, medications (as disclosed by client), and progress notes (signed by practitioner).  Subjective information – including area(s) of complaint (as stated by client), and approximate date of complaint.  Objective information – including observations, testings, ongoing assessments, actions taken by practitioner, client’s response to sessions, plan consisting of goals and desired outcome, modalities rendered, frequency and duration of session, referrals to other professionals, suggestions for self-help education, guidance, and anything appropriate that would be helpful for clients
